Hurricanes and babies {Greensboro Newborn Photography}

It has been a weekend of babies … from gorgeous maternity portraits, to twin one year old babies to newborn photography … things have been hopping at Melissa Treen Photography!  And while weather here has been beautiful, that is not the case back home, in Tampa.  In between clients I have been glued to the news, watching the progression of Hurricane Irma and texting/calling friends and family back home.

After growing up and living in Tampa for 30 years, this hurricane is the type we always feared … a direct hit, category 4/5 with storm surge into Tampa Bay.  We weathered many storms, thunderstorms and even hurricanes while in Tampa, but none like what has been described this weekend.  It is so hard to be away from family during times like this, my heart is with them all and we just keep praying.

And it looks like our prayers have been working to some degree…it looks like Irma is wearing down and Tampa will experience a weaker version of this monster storm when it arrives later tonight.  They aren’t out of the woods yet, and storm surge is always a concern, but hopefully much less damage than anticipated for the area.  Please continue to pray for Tampa, and all of Florida as this storm is massive.

Now, to share a little sunshine … at just a week old … so gorgeous …
