a little touch of lime {Greensboro Baby Photographer}

I have to admit my favorite color is green, especially lime green.  In fact, much of my home is painted green.  When I brought home the paint cans to paint a few rooms, my husband opened them to find a variety of shades of green, mostly muted tones, but all beautiful to me!  He looked at me & questioned if I could commit to all the green in so many areas – I think this was he way of warning me he would not be re-painting anytime soon.  : )  No worries, my prompt reply…YES!  This was a few years ago I I still adore my muted shades of green walls.  I have paired so many different color combinations with the green & can create a variety of different looks with my anchor color of green.  I know not everyone loves green, but it works for me.

However, I was really wanting to embrace another color, especially a blue, so I thought I’d try a shade of blue.   I found a color ironically called “contemplation”   – it was a muted blue tone, sort of a hazy light pale gray-aqua color.    I did some serious “contemplation” of this color, looking at the paint samples forever in the store, paired them up with the colors of the textiles, floors and cabinetry in the room, it all seemed to work well together.  So, in an effort to branch out into the blue color palette a bit, I finally worked my way to the paint counter, had it tinted and brought it home.  Wouldn’t you know… as soon as I arrived home with it – the color changed!  I know the lighting was different in the store, but honestly this color transformed!  I thought it must dry different after applied, so we proceeded to paint…after much “contemplation”…let’s just say those walls are on the re-do list!  Guess I’m just not a fan of blue yet, at least this blue??? Anyone have a paint experience they care to share, or just want to share your favorite color, feel free to comment below.  : )

With all this talk of color, thought I’d share a few images of this precious baby girl in a sweet lime green newborn set.

Just 9 days old…oh, how sweet she is…
